How to remove the bulb from oven?

I have a Hotpoint DY46W electric oven (12 months old). The bulb in the main oven needs replacing. The glass cover unscrews OK, but the bulb won't budge. Also the same thing happens with the bulb in the top oven/grill.

Oven bulbs usually have a screw thread - anticlockwise to remove. I have never encountered a welded-in oven bulb but do not deny that it might happen. To have one is a rarity - to have two...

Chances are its 'welded' itself in place with the heat. A little 3 in 1 oil should help ease it out. Make sure to clean up afterwards though. Other wise your food will smell like a workshop!! Hope this helps
