My Corsa has just started with a windscreen problem in that the wiper blades are struggling to start at the first level, and are slow on second and third - is this a motor or switching problem? The blades are fine, car just passed MOT in August, 2004 rego.

Whats the best/cheapest way of sorting this out? I can handle a screwdriver but thats about all!

its actually the wiper linkage thats giving you grief. dificulty level i would say 3 / 10
remove both the wiper arms 13mm nuts, remove the plastic scuttle panel 2 torx screws, one each side, one thats out the way you will see the motor and linkage, its all one unit fixed to the bulkhead by 2 x 8mm bolts and the multiplug. once the unit is removed, disconect one of the rods at the back this will tell you which one is seized, clean up the wheel boxat the wiper arm end and you will see a small horse she clip, carefully remove the clip, work the wheelbox back and forward to free it off using plenty of wd40
