You will need dealer level diagnostics, such as tech2, vaux-com etc., to re-code the replacement ECU to the car.
Many independent garages now have this equipment and are usually cheaper than Vauxhall.
Try the 'parts for sale' section of owners clubs for cheap parts and further info.
