how do i repair my dishwasher?

my dishwasher will not stop pumping the water out even if a wash mode has not been selected! sometimes it will start a wash ok but 2 min later the wash mode stops and the pump kicks in! HELP!

Sounds like you have water on the bottom plate & this has activated the flood protection device. In short you have a leakage...check hoses, connections, pump & circulation motor to find source. Next time you post include model/type.
