drop the steeering wheel as far down and pull out as far out to as possible make access easier, on the bottom of the black plastic band which goes round the instrument panel are two tiny indentations two small flat bladed scrapers must be pushed between the instrument panel and surround right below the indentations to release the bottom clips the top simply comes out when the bottom is pulled out at an angle
