I was parking my car when I reversed during the manouver i put it into first gear and tryed to move forward but it wouldent go. Then I pushed forward more and I heard a bang. I got out and looked around and found oil all over the floor which I believe is gearbox oil. What happened and can it be fixed?

yes i i had the same problom with my renault laguna and i had similer problem.. the way u said you heard a somthing then it wont start again thats what happen to me and my gearbox destroyed i got it repair it cost me around 300 pounds to get it fixed

Ye gods Ben have you split the gearbox casing? Rather terminal...! If you have, look for another one at a Renault breaker specialist - it will come with a short guarantee.
