bathroom tiling?

canyou tile straight onto new plasterboard and newly skimmed walls without using a primer and if not what primer do i use?

it is possible to tile over new plaster board but what is it that you have skimmed it with? a multi purpose mastic such as "Custom Building Products Acryl 4000 or Mapei Type 1 Multi purpose mastic will do the trick. Or if you prefer the more traditional method you can buy you a bag of Custom Versabond thinset white or gray and mix it yourself and save about 20.00 overv the mastic. Either way you will not have any problems as long as you follow the instructions on the package

No, you must use a primer. Watered down emulsion paint or unibond primer should be used.
