My AEG 54750vi dishwasher has stopped working?

When I start a wash cycle the alarm sounds after a few seconds and the 'Rinse and Hold', 'Normal 65' and 'Intensive 70' indicator lights flash. The water doesn't appear to turn on. Reading the operator instructions would suggest a fault with the 'water protection system'. If this is correct which parts do I need to replace? if not I would appreciate any other advice.

water protection means the float in the base has operated.you need to tip the appliance backwards to reset it.if water appears in the base again you have a leak.could be a hose, seal or faulty circulation pump as a rule!
