How do I rip out drawers so that I can install a dishwasher?

I am wanting to rip out some drawers in my kitchen so that I can install a built-in dishwasher. I am wanting to know if I need to install a frame for the dishwasher as well. Also how do I rip out the drawers without ruining the countertop?

The dishwasher is free standing, although you may require a decor panel door for it. It stands on adjustable feet and fits the usual 600mm opening, although there are other sizes. As for removing the existing drawers, they will be in a carcass of their own, fixed at either side with screws to the adjacent units. You may need to be fairly heavy handed to get them out, but as they are usually made from chipboard its not too difficult.
