solder thermal cuouts?

My old dolphin shower heater is protected by two thermal cut outs which appear to be made of a link of solder. one of these has melted and therefore the link has been broken. What is the correct term for these "solder Fuses" and where can i get one, or what can i replace them with.

These are called 'fusible links' and they are intended to fail in the way that they have i.e when too much current is passing through them. So, like any other fuse, its necessary to find out why they failed in the first place.
