How can I stop my Zanussi tumble dryer (ZDC67550W) from stopping?

The 'Empty Tank' light comes on and stops the machine even though the tank is empty. Is there anything I can do? Anyone suffered the same problem with their dryer?

there is a float switch in the back and this could be causing your problem if blocked or faulty.you need to take the top off and side panels to gain access to this part.
