The Washing machine has an electrical fault - power is shorting to Earth. The heating Element might be causing this but it could be any of several electrical components.

The house power is tripping out as a safety measure - so you don't get electrocuted.

Call an engineer - You might just might get away with a wash by selecting a cold wash and allowing the machine to finish its cycle but this is dangerous advice and there's no guarantee it will work or that you'll be safe.

If it does finish on "cold" without tripping the electrics then it very probably is being caused by the heating element.

Take care...

Not a DIY project...call qualified assitance. Electricity can kill.
