how do you fit new eyelets on a petrol strimmer ?

i have mculloch electrolux tm210 petrol trimmer & need 2 fit new eyelets ,the guy in the shop say's that all eyelets are standard but i can't seee how they possibly go in ? , help please !!!!

The eyelets are pushed into place, and then the outside edge is flared out - a bit like a rivet - by using a special tool.
