I recently had the same problem with my 106. Had a mechanic come out 3times even took it to a peugeot dealershipd they couldn't find a single thing wrong. Replaced my top mounts on my suspension that didn't work finally thought of the anti roll bar. Replaced that and its been fine ever since!

yes we had same problem with P reg had to have new driveshaft last year

mot tester useless, changed mot station and bingo! ball joints failed! it has passed two mot's with faulty ball joints!
