how can i fix my bendix washing machine 1200?

it comes on as normal, but when i put it on a programme to wash it just makes a strange noise. and will not fill up with water.

drain pump impellor jammed?.remove the filter and shine a torch in to the filter housing and see if there is anything jamming the impellor
