Problem with Ariston a1436?

I have problem with my Ariston a1436:
1) the wash cycle does not complete.
2) water coming out from the soap draw during rinse cycle.

Any tips on getting the problem solved?

Many thanks James. Problem solved and you have just saved me the cost of a new washing machine as I wasn't going to get someone comeout to fix it and give me 3months guarantee.

your sump hose is blocked not allowing water to drain before it spins. remove lower back panel, sump hose held on to tub with a jubilee clip remove and clean out filter
