Bosch Exxcel Dishwasher?

We have a Bosch Exxcel Dishwasher S9G1B. During any cycle start up, the pump empties any water in the sump area, but then the clean water does not come on. Also when you open the door in cycle, the pump is constantly running until you switch the power off (but water not spraying. During start up after a few seconds a very slight click can be heard (possibly from the main board relay???) - but nothing happens. The water is connected correctly. Oh one other point is if I add about 2-3 litres into the sump then water does spray for just a few seconds until the sump drains it away. Does anyone think it needs a new mother board? Or maybe a new solenoid? Thank you

I have an Exxcel Dishwasher (barely 11 months old) with an E:15 coming up on the display and a flashing light to check the water. Can't find any problem. Have tipped it backwards, forwards, sideways as suggested by others, but still no luck. The on/off switch seems defunct, and the machine sounds like it's constantly trying to drain. Have checked for blockages to no avail. Any clues, folks?

Hi I had the same problem with my exxcel, took it apart this morning and the pipe at bottom that runs into the big clear plastic tube thing on left hand side was completely blocked up with limescale etc.. fingers crossed it should work now.

sounds like the machine has a possible leak and water in the base has triggered the anti flood mechanism. Disconnect from the power and remove the left hand side panel, you should be able to see into the base and check for any lying water. Drain water from the base and reconnect and run to see where the leak has come from, you may have to remove Right side panel to see if its from the motor seals.
