How do you fix cotton sweatshirts?

If you have a cotton sweatshirt where the elastic in the cuffs and along the bottom has loosened entirely is there a way to make it tight again?
Sara Soda, March 2006
I had the same thing happen, and so i removed the old elastic cuffs by un-doing the stitching (do not cut it off) and then replacing the old 'ribbing' with the new ribbing. it's a good idea to keep the old ribbing for a rough pattern when cutting out the new ribbing for the sweatshirt. hope this helps!

Gain weight! that way it'll be sure to get tighter.
