my alarm went off twice today.Everytime we entered the code and then pressed "reset" button to switch it off.It did not happen before.Why the alarm keeps going off?we have never had problems with it and that happened twice in one day.currently unset ligt is green and tamper light is flashing red.number 8 is red as well but is not flashing?please could you help me to sort above problem out?

this sounds like the same problem I had with my veritas r8, it was cause by the tamper switch on the back of the bell box outside rusting away, so it would activate the alarm if a gust of wind blew against the bell box, easy to fix if you are familiar with the PCB wiring, you just need to put a link between the sab tamper contacts, no more false alarms.

Just had a similar problem Kris. Came home from work and noticed that RCD on electric box had tripped. As soon as i switched back on, the alarm started to sound and neither my 4 digit code or the 'factory' code worked. In the end a helpful neighbour had to disconnect the sounders in the control panel and sounder box. (Veritas 8).

Have had this prob once before and think it's time to bin it as it costs more to get an enginner out than to have a new system !
