problem with brush bar?

I'm having a problem putting the belt on my dyson DC07 brush bar, theres not much room to get the belt on and its so tight to stretch it. I took the brush bar housing off and threaded the belt through and around the brush bar, but just can't get the belt around the other end. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to do this, thanks

Always put the belt around the brush first. It is a very tight fit ,but you just stretch the belt over the motor spindle(pull it hard with index finger). Make sure the brush turns freely and is not binding Or you will be buying a new brush within weeks.

Hook the belt onto the clutch shaft first.....then stretch the belt over the brush bar. It'll go!
