This is a bigish long job Mike, as the exhaust has to come off together with several parts under the car. Once you have replaced you will have to top up your eyols fluid tank which holds 5 ltrs of fluid at £35 ltr. The filter is also expensive, but you can get a refurbished one from peogeot for HALF the price.These come from France but your dealer won't tell you about the recon. option, I don't think, but they can get them. If you can do it yourself you will save around £700. +++ (I note from your question that you have not been quoted for Labour! Ask them for a FULL PRICE to do the job, but make sure you are sitting down at the time. Buy a Manual Mike and have a go. Its not hard its just time consuming and dirty especially if you are working from home and on your back under the car. If mine becomes blocked and needs replacing,I will be having a go myself. I have done 100K and just topped up the eyols fluid as requested by the brain/computer/dash. When blocked I have been told that the dash will tell me, and the car will not run smoothly and rev low etc.
