HOW CAN I FIX A DIGISTAT RF1 WIRELESS THERMOSTAT?

Hi,
The red light on the receiver is constantly flashing (happened after a power cut). The batteries in the transmitter are ok.
I've tried re-setting it as per the instructionse, but it still doesn't work. When I press the over ride button, nothing happens.
Its a combi boiler & we still have hot water.
Any ideas gratefully received.

take batteries out of transmitter, turn mains off, then back on, hold down buttons 1&2 together until alarm light stops flashing, refit batteries, unit will re-learn frequency
