Accenta alarm - tamper light permanently on, will not reset?

Recently knocked the wall down between my dining room and living room and there was a PIR in each room. had to disconnect both of them, whilst work was carried out. Once complete, I reconnected them back EXACTLY as they were before (im pretty sure of this lol), they seem to be activating as the light comes on when there is movement in front of the PIR, yet the keypad has all zones lit up and the tamper indicator is on. Cannot put my code in or press the reset or do anything really. Checked all the fuses in the control panel upstairs and they all seem to be OK, power reset the control panel upstairs, the alarm went off, so i put in my normal code, which switched the alarm off but then the keypad just went back to its previous state of having all zones lit and the tamper indicator lit. Can anyone help?

Hi

If you have opened up the CPU box, there is a spring connected to the panel front. Press the spring down and listen / feel for a slight click as the microswitch closes.

This might work, if not, try and find out if anyone has replaced a microswitch on the circuit board

Good luck

The green 'unset' light on my system was flashing. I knew this indicated a dead battery so I put a new one in. The tamper light came on and would not go off no matter what I did. Until I replaced the front cover on the panel! It has a tamper switch built in. Once the cover was back on all was back to normal.

hi guys, my alarm wasn't working, think a bulb had made the alarm trip out, so i took the box off, and the alarm went crazy wouldn't go off, so i turned the mains off and disconnected the battery leads. To fix it, turn power off at the wall, and reconnect the battery, the alarm will go off, enter 0123, this is the master code, turn mains back on. to put your old code in or a new one hit prog then 0123, then 8 or 7 (depending on how old the alarm is) then your new 4 digit code then reset.

Hope this helps, as I had to suffer about half an hour of an alarm going off neighbours weren't happy

no luck im afraid, just finished running the wires throughout for a new up to date alarm system so not going to bother repairing the original fault now unfortunately!

I have checked the control panel, all the fuses are OK. Do you know where I would be able to get the user/tech manual for this alarm system. Was installed so long ago, I do not know where it is.

looks like your fuse has blown , check all the fuses in the box that none of them have blown because you may have caught the wires together if fuses has gone then you will need to replace you wont need to check the mains fuse thanks death
