Kenmore series 90 won't spin?

My Kenmore serires 90 won't spin. Is it the motor coupler? if so, how can I fix it? Is it okay to access the motor by tipping the machine on its back?

Thanks,
Ron

Look under your washer and if you see a pile of black debris, then you coupler is bad or going bad, but before you do that check your lid switch, you should hear a click as you bring down the lid if not you might have a bad lid switch ( the only way to really check is with a continuity checker with the unit unplugged). Remove the end caps and remove the two screws, lift the control panel and remove the lid switch connector and with a screw driver pop the two metal clips holding the cabinet to the washer, remove the cabinet and everything is exposed. good luck.
