my ABS warning light on the dash board is always on light?

What could be the possible cause of this problem? Is it possible that if the sensor is touching the front axle shaft could cause this problem. my vehicle is land rover, discovery model, series 1, 1997 model

Hi had same problem on my 95 m reg Best way to sort is to take to Land Rover dealer.Get them to do a diagnostics test. They did on mine 7 error codes came up. They reset them and the sensors, checked relay etc. Found it was faulty conection on relay. All this cost was £20.97 well worth it as sensors for rear at main dealer are £250 to £300. Hope this helps.
