Screws on Tefal Pro Express steam iron?

I have a Tefal Pro Express steam iron . The cord storage has jammed and I can only release about 200mm of cord. If I could undo the base I could get the cord freed off , but the base is held by screws which look like pozidrive but have a pin in the centre . Is there a tool for this type of screw ?

You have to buy a torx star t10 t15 and t20 security screwdriver. They have diffirent screw size.

screws and screwdriver like this:(a hole in the screw driver)

Sorry, that should be a Torx T20 security driver as it must have the hole in the centre.

You need a Torx T20 driver. Try the tools section in a DIY shop or a car tools shop.

All you need is a small flat head screwdriver. It needs to be small enough to miss the centre pin. The head of the screwdriver needs to make contact with one side of the screw. I did mine this morning. Be CAREFUL of the spring inside the wire housing.

You can buy a set of security screw bits like this...

quite cheaply from most tool and DIY stores - you may also need a driving handle. The screw you describe is a Torx Screw I believe...
