i have a compaq m700 laptop and i am unable to control the cursor with the stick on the laptop or a ps2 mouse. is this a hardware problem or software problem? can any one help!!
If by stick you mean Trackpoint. Sometimes they will drift off - its not usually a fault as such. The fix is don't fiddle with it while it's drifting just leave it alone for a few seconds and it will fix itself.
