My dishwasher is leaking from the top draw. I suspect that the drain hose has a split. How do I remove it to check and fix?

I have never struck a dishdrawer yet that had a split in the drain hose. Not that it is impossible but most unlikely. Usual causes of leaks are lid not pulling down evenly (it has a pull down mechanism on each side) rubber seal on lid damaged, large items being put on top shelf which obstruct the lid.
