My Neff U1721 oven has suddenly stopped heating up. After removing the cover at the back of the oven I can see that the element is thickly encrusted in a hard dark grey grit like substance at one end. It looks to me like the element needs replacing, before I buy a replacement is there any other likely cause that I should check out?
