When i put the dishwasher on it starts runs for just under a minute then it stops. Starts this annoying beeping and the lights start flashing.

I think it starts as soon as the machine finishes draining

There are four lights on the machine:

1. Washing, 2. rinsing 3. drying 4. end

The lights flash in pairs. (1 + 2) then (3 + 4) over and over again.

can anyone tell me what the code means.

I had the same problem.
This occurred after a drain pipe blockage causing the machine to fail
to drain which then overflowed onto the floor.
In the base of the machine there is a float switch.
If you tilt the machine backwards about 20 degrees this will drain any
water trapped in the base, the float should then reset.
If not open up the right hand panel and free the float mechanism ( a long bit of plastic attached to a polystyrene float)
This should cure your problem.'
