hi i have a reconditioned 2,5 engine in my boat it used to start first click but now it takes a few turns then it starts what could be the problem it has all ready the 2 new batterys fitted could it be a pump problem im running red diesel and was running white does this make a diffrence

When was it last serviced? What oil are you using? The correct oil for this engine is 5w30 semi-synthetic.

Another common cause is a bad connection between the battery and the starter.
