bosch wff 1401 model drum not turning?

All else seems fine except the drum is not turningwhen swiched on. The timer is clicking away ecept no action from the drum, water is filling as it should. could the motor brushes be worn out ? as there is no connection being made.

my brushes were replaced after 10 years, very common (get a meter across the connectors of your motor and if you get 230vac and it doesn't spin......your brushes have worn out)

we had the same thing happen about 3 months ago - turned out the brushes were fine, but the belt had slipped off the back of the drum.
