I've searched all over and can find nothing about Belson car alarms.
You might need to have a look in the phone book for a car audio/alarm specialist and take the car to them.

Thanks it is a ba700 alarm by belson - says on the control under the bonnet and on the remote - has anybody heard of it?

Are you sure? I've heard of belson audio, GPS and personal grooming (hair driers, straighteners etc) but I cant find anything on alarms.
Where did you get the name?
If you read it off a component are you sure it is an alarm part, not an amp or suchlike?
