how can i reduce boiler pressure?

how can i reduce the water pressure on a chaffoteaux et maury calydra central heating boiler? Pressure is currently at 3 bar, there is often a release of water from the overflow and there is a continual drip from the overflow

Thanks for the quick response John. I'll try that now.

Reduce the pressure by bleeding water from the radiators...but if the system is repressurising, then the filling loop is open or there is a heat exchanger problem.
