Mountfield SV150 govenor adjustment?

I recently replaced the govenor spring on my Mountfield. When I start it it over revs, can anyone tell me how to reset the govenor to prevent this please?
Russ, November 2009
The function of the govenor spring is to OPEN the throttle. The spring force is opposed by the govenor - which on the SV150 is simply an air vane. Apart from the spring tension, there is no adjustment possible. If the engine seriously over-revs, then either the spring is twisted, of somethng is physically jammed or bent.
