Cannot get engine to start?

I can get into the car as normal and lock as normal, but cannot get the ignition key to start the engine. It was O.K. a couple of hours ago. Can anyone help please.

What happens when you turn the ignition-

Nothing?

Dash lights on, engine wont spin, clicking noise, dash lights go dim?

Engine spins but slower or faster than normal?

Any dash lights flashing?

Anything else that may give us a clue?
