Ford mondeo mk2 heater blower will not work with control dial?

r Reg mondeo. I can hear the heater motor working on low and a little bit of heat/air comes out but does not work on other levels. I changed the resistor it was burnt....thought that would have fixed it..Didn't....Don't know now !

The resistor..go through the passenger side under the glove box up and to the right of the heater blower.. .unplug the wire,you have to squeeze a little lock clip to get the conector out....then one torx screw holding the resistor to the firewall and it comes right out.........If you take the glove box out you should be able to see the resistor it is towards the centre of the car on the front wall...

You will, probably, need to change the heater blower switch (around £14) which you access by removing the stereo and then the cowling. Note that you will need to get yourself a set of star screw drivers to replace the rear mounted switch. I did this a year ago the garage wanted to charge me £90 for a 30 minute job. Can you help, I need to find the infamous heater resistor; (the switch is fine, the relay and fuse look okay but the fan does not work at all) to see if it has melted the connectors.
