206 rear wiper constantly on?

I have just bought a second hand peugeot 206 and the rear wiper was not working, when we investigated we found that it had been disconnect as when connected it was on all the time. Any suggestions on how to fix

Needs a new comms unit (combined wiper switch). Careful, different types depending on year of car. Multiplexed versions will cost around £350 fitted I believe.
Now you know one reason why the car was sold, and why the wiper was disconnected.
