how do i fit a heater element for a creda tcr2 drier

Hi Philippa, what makes you so sure you need to fit a new heating element? The reason I ask is that if you've got one but don't know how to refit it, it sounds like you've never inspected the old one yourself. I apologise if I've got this wrong but when I came onto this site I did so to minimise my costs when fixing my Dryer. If you haven't tested the old element or the thermostats you need to before spending money on a new heating element as this might not be your problem. The thermostats on this machine can be reset if they have opened rather than burned out. To do this you need to take the thermostat off the machine and insert a pin or similar object into the small hole on the rear of the thermostat. If this works you will hear it click back into place. You need an AVO meter to check this is the case (zero reading if working). If the heating element has gone you will see some visual signs of where it has burned out. I'm not sure what your skills are so some of this might be better chatted over with friends /family to see if someone can do this for you. Just remember that before you inspect / work on any appliance to unplug it from the power supply. As for spare parts there's many suggestions on this site for picking these up quickly and at a reasonable price. I hope this helps.
