I have a brother sewing/embroidery machine, i was sewing when some frabric cought up in the dogs, from then on it will only sew backwards,what have I done can it be repaired, I took it in and they told me it was going to cost me £500 can it be done for less than that

Hello Jean,
I am not sure if your machine is computerised or not but the price seams like an absolute rip off, if you are in the UK Brother used to send engineers out from the factory at Brother, Shepley Street, Audenshaw, Manchester, it would be wise to contact them, rather than pay out that extortionate price at least you will only pay the call out charge and get a true assessment of the cost.
