loose bottom stitch?

Hi

I am trying to sort out my mums toyota sewing machine.
The bottom thread is very loose and does not improve regardles of what the the top thread tension setting is.
Is there any balance screws or some way of adjusting the bottom tension?Ive had the bobbin and carrier out and got all the fluff out but couldnt see anything amis.
Anyhelp most appreciated.

Thank

Hello Alex,
Start at the beginning, ,ake sure the presser foot is up when you thread the machine, top tension about 4 or 5, you should be able to pull the bottom thread through with slight resistence, if it is too tight loosen the large screw on the bobbin case about a quarter of a turn at a time anti clockwise and test sew.
