Zanussi Washer/Dryer WJS1665W - Dryer will not dry longer than 10-15 min??

We have had this Washer / Dryer for many years now. This week, when we use it on a drying cycle, it does not dry the clothes beyond 10-15 minutes, even if we have entered more time.

There are 2 heat settings "Cottons" or "Synthetics" and it makes no difference which one we choose.

Also there are NO Error Codes being displayed.

Finally on a washing cycle there are no problems at all.

Please help....!!

Just a quick update for anyone who has this issue. As well as cleaning the condenser tank, check the manual reset thermostat on top of the pipe work,it has a little red rod ,make sure its pushed in so no silver showing. Worked for me.

Hi

I wonder if you could offer me any advice?

I've got a Zanussi W1665WJS washer/dryer,which isn't getting hot on the dryer side.I've cleaned out the condenser plastic tank, checked and cleaned the sensor in the rubber pipe which is now clean.I noticed the ventilator/motor wasn't turning with the belt on,cleaned this up got it spinning freely but still no heat? We also checked the circuit readings on the heating element & the triple water valve all seemed ok

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks

HappyBoy - Hi - I have the same issue ass you do. I'm a complete novice at this and was wondering if you could confirm where you found the instructions to open the rear panel, gain access to and remove the Condenser Tank.

Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response CK.

I forgot to mention there was no heat during the 10-15 minutes when it did come on !!

Anyway I opened the machine last night. Previosuly I have only needed to open the top panel so it was good to see someone had posted some instructions on how to open the rear panel to gain access to and remove the Condenser Tank. Could have done it but at 10pm easier for me to read someone elses instructions ;o))

The Tank looked OK but I took it out and ran water through it a lot of clothes fibres and gunk came out.

Wiring (2 x Orange wires) was sound and 100% OK.

I also cleaned the inside of the black flexible rubber pipe that connects the Condenser to the Drum area.

The Sensor you mentioned sits in this Pipe (I think this is the one you meant??). It was completely covered in dried fluff. I actually thought it was limescale first! Anyway cleaned it off to reveal a shiny metal sensor.

I also checked all the thermostats on the Air Ducting and the actual Air Heating Element. Took out the Element and had a look. All seemed OK to my untrained eye.....

Put it back together. Not able to test whilst the Machine was pulled out as the Water Inlet Pipe does not reach. Tested it this morning and it is working !! Phew....

Thanks again CK and a BIG THANKS to this site !!

on the bottom of the condensor tank inside the machine is a sensor and if the wiring breaks off the machine will do what you have described.remove rear panel to gain access and check condensor tank down side for blockages and also check wiring to sensor on the bottom (orange wire x2 ??)
