Unfortunately, whilst the motor on this food processsing machine is still pushing out full power after some 20 years or more, the plastic drive spindle covering has sheared, half-way up - just where the round shaft becomes the driving hexagonal shaft.
I have tried to repair with hardening epoxy material - but am not confident this will work.
It seems that such a replacement part is not now available.
Does anybody have a similar machine which is no good any more but has the spindle intact, please.
Multipractic model number is 4258.

My aunt's old 4258 has just had the exact same problem - the plastic covering on the spindle has split in the middle and there is a 5-8mm gap which means the lid won't fasten.
Is it possible to replace this part? Doubt it.

I fastened a tiny plastic ziptie around the base of the spindle. If it will break, I'll just put a new one. Works good

I have the same exact problem !!! I looked everywhere for the part. I'm going to try epoxy as well.
