To find the shaft I just put this in google
RPW10F94014TX Motor Shaft Cover
It gave me tons of places to purchase the shaft cover

You can order this part new from Buy-it-now-store.com - it cost me about $17 including shipping.

Any damage from your replacement of the shaft cover? I saw another review from Fix-ya.com and the expert said it was nearly impossible to replace??

Thanks,
RobertP

I just replaced mine tonight. Old one pried off. Was a little loose so might have been easier than normal. The attachment is just a press fit of the plastic part of the spindle over a knurled part of the motor shaft. Getting off was a little tough. Had to get a screwdrive into the shaft area by breaking a small piece of the plastic shroud on the base of the machine to fit the blade of the screw driver down into the area. Lift from under the metal portion of the spindle - the brass piece that you see on the bottom of the replacement. When you finally manage to get it off then the new one is just a press fit. A number of rather sharp taps with a hammer as the metal points on the knurling have to shave off the hard plastic inner portion of the new spindle. Not exactly elegant engineering, but apparently it works.

Are you speaking of the spindle that is part of the base, that attachments slide on to? If so, I am looking for this item also. The one on my machine has become somewhat rounded and causes the blades to become stuck on the machine. Any assistance is appreciated.

Where did you get a spindle? I need one too.
