Recliner Mechanism?

I have a Hancock & Moore recliner that the mechanism underneath the chair needs to be replaced. But have been unable to find anyone that sells the mechanism. Does anyone know where I can purchase the mechanism.

I contacted H&M today. They say you must go thru the dealer that sold the recliner to you. My dealer said they have replaced "several" and that they get the mechanism from H&M at $75 plus shipping and then the dealer charges you to do the actual replacement of the entire mechanism, all for a total of well over $100 I estimate. If broken in the first 3 years it is covered by warranty. They must replace the entire mechanism.

if you contact the chair mfg. you can probably get a mechanism at no charge. most mechs have lifetime warranty on parts.

Can you provide all pertinent information?

I have the same problem. Evidently, you can order a new Leget and Platt reclining mechanism for about $100 and get it installed at an upholsterer.

I am trying to do just that
