ignition timing is WRONG NEEDS RE ADJUSTING
first check and adjust the points settings
mark the notch on the crank pulley with a tiny dab of white paint or (tipex) also mark the degree of ADVANCE REQUIRED on the timing marks
then use a timing light connected to number 1 plug lead ,vacuum pipe disconnected at the distributor,get someone to start engine now shine the light at the crank pulley timing marks if wrong undo the dizzy clamp and rotate the dizzy till marks are in line of advancement then retighten clamp if after checking that the timing is correct, the cylinder head might need a decoke the fuel mixture also needs checking for excessive mixture.
