My 1990 escort xr3i cabriolet drives fine, but when I slow down from high speed the engine cuts out. It does start striaght after with no problems, but when the engine cuts out it affects my braking ability so I've stopped driving it. Does anyone have any idea what the cause could be & how I might fix it?
