Been told I need a New "carmin" unit for my clutch on R reg Renault Espace?

Been told it will take 10 hours labour to replace what the garage call a "carmin" unit. Does some internet research and can't find reference to a "carmin" unit anywhere.

Does 10 hours sound right for replacing this and is this a real part?

this may be a calming unit & not carmin. in which case they may be refering to the dual mass flywheel, which is supposed to make for smoother clutch operation when it is released. your espace may or may not have one fitted,i also beleive there is a traditional solid flywheel conversion available for these.
