blower fan not working ?

have a 406 rapier h.d.i. estate ( 90) and the fan just stopped working . Garage can not find fault, reckons can not get a live to the fan. any ideas????

Look not all mechanics are good ones nor are they electricle system specilest. just run a wire from the hot side of the battery to one of the wires of the fan and see if it starts. if it does then the relay has gone out. if it doesn't then touch it to the other wire on the fan. if it doesn't start then the fuse has blown out in some cases you will have to rewire the fan by running a new wire from the fuse box. from say the radio fuse to the fan then when you turn on the key the fan will run, it will run all the time but this will not hurt anything I have done this to about a dozen cars and they are still doing just fine. remember though to put an inline fuse in the wire you connect to the fan for extre safety.
