I have a Hoover VHC381 HD tumble dryer. Every time I set it up, it stops mid cycle flashing the empty water indicator light. When I do this and there is only a small amount of water in the resorvoir, it won't go back on straight away. What could be wrong with it please?

We had the same problem and cleaned out the valves with a cotton bud and the machine started up again, they really are sensative to fluff.

Mineis similar - they seem to be built a little poorly and are very sensitive to fluff from clothes collecting in valves connecting to water collecting tanks.

Try tipping upside down, taking off the water collection tank and removing the plastic valve at the top of it (mine clips into place) you should be able to remove all fluff from this.

Next unscrew the plastic part that connects this to the dryer (on the dryer) and doing similar to a small valve found in this.
